Positioned at a key intersection, Cornerstone Square is easily accessible, drawing in local patrons and passersby alike.

Located in Westford, Massachusetts, along the Route 495 corridor, the architectural design of  Cornerstone Square evokes the permanence of New England traditional architecture along with the dynamic qualities of modern day retail and office space.

Organized within the site as a series of buildings of multiple scales, the development creates a “modern village” concept to support the diverse employment and consumer needs of the local community.

The buildings are detailed in a contemporary “Federalist” style, as the exterior is predominately constructed in brick with pre-cast stone foundations and accents throughout, but window and door openings are enlarged to make each destination more inviting as well as to showcase the activities within. Tower elements and undulating cornices add to the village concept, while the many lower roofs, sloped awnings, and covered entries offer pedestrian scale and protect visitors as they traverse the village streets (site).

With design elements reflecting principles of value and durability, the architecture of the Cornerstone Shopping Center blends comfortably into its New England surroundings.
