Highlights

  • Convert Pizza Hut to Dental Office
  • Ceiling Height Challenges
  • Addition + Renovation

The design intent was the relocation of a growing dental practice in Somerset, MA, and stage the practice for the next generation of principal dentists.

The existing building was a former Pizza Hut and needed an approximately 1000 SF addition to meet the needs of the future growth of the practice. The challenge of the project was to renovate the existing restaurant to reflect the values & aesthetics of the dental practice while working within the constraints of the existing shell structure.

The overall look achieved is traditional New England architecture with gable and shed dormer accents, a stone base with lap siding, and a new portico entry. High sill windows were used to allow natural light into the treatment rooms while maintaining visual privacy for the patients from the exterior.
